The Staff

All staff is trained in First Aid/CPR, as well as further on-site training conducted by the Director and Assistant Director and overseen by the board. Additional training is done by Maritime Conference.


Cabin Life

Campers live with a group of fellow campers in cabins under the supervision 1-2 staff members per cabin.


Meals & Snacks

Nutritious, balanced meals are served from a modern kitchen in a supervised dining hall. Should the need arise, special diets (to address food allergies etc.) are available upon request from the Camp Director prior to the start of camp.


Visiting Camp

Visiting your child at camp is not encouraged except on opening and closing days. Visitation tends to interrupt the daily camp schedule. However, if you feel that it is necessary to do so, please contact the Camp Director to make the arrangements.


Dress Code

All campers are expected to dress in a manner such as what would be expected and appropriate in school.

Additional Information

Camp Abegweit provides campers with an unplugged camping experience. There are no cellphones or other electronic devices permitted at camp.
